Intro to Canicross
Canicross and running with your dog offer fantastic benefits, especially for beginners embarking on their fitness journey. Not only does it provide an enjoyable way to stay active, but it also strengthens the bond between you and your furry friend. Starting out with your buddy by your side can make the experience less daunting and more fun.
Plus, it's a great way to motivate each other and stay accountable. As you both progress together, you'll notice improvements in your stamina, endurance, and overall well-being.
With each stride, you'll not only be improving your physical health but also deepening the connection with your loyal companion.
Aim
It's not essential to be a runner to start Canicross, you can start out learning commands whilst walking (Canitrekking) and if you wish to try running then we will build up slowly.
You will be introduced to specific canicross harnesses for your dog, and one for you too - trying out an example for the session. There will be introductions to commands, tips and safety advice so that you come away from the session feeling confident to take the next step.
