Beginner to 5k

Canicross and running with your dog offer fantastic benefits, especially for beginners embarking on their fitness journey. Not only does it provide an enjoyable way to stay active, but it also strengthens the bond between you and your furry friend. Starting out with your buddy by your side can make the experience less daunting and more fun.

Plus, it's a great way to motivate each other and stay accountable. As you both progress together, you'll notice improvements in your stamina, endurance, and overall well-being.

With each stride, you'll not only be improving your physical health but also deepening the connection with your loyal companion.

Aim

It's not essential to be a runner to start Canicross, you can start out learning commands whilst walking and then we will build up within the 8 weeks to being able to run 5km.

You will have completed an Intro to Canicross session with me (cost is included) so that you can make sure that Canicross is for you and your dog. You will have the opportunity to try equipment and have assistance if needed in choosing your own.

We will then, as a small supportive group, work though the 8 session training programme. The programme is designed to be fun and sociable whilst slowly building up yours and your dogs run fitness.
